Actuary Calculator

XKCD-style group mortality odds

Enter ages with gender tags (e.g. 63m for a 63-year-old male or 75f for a 75-year-old female), optionally followed by a time span in years or an absolute year. Calculations use the same Social Security actuarial tables as the original actuary.py script: probabilities for someone in the group, everyone in the group, and a specific horizon.

Group setup

Format matches actuary.py: list ages with m/f suffixes (decimals ok). If you include a trailing number, it is treated as the years to simulate; if that number exceeds the current calendar year, it is interpreted as an absolute year. If you omit the number, the default horizon is 1 year.
